The Physics
Physics does not forbid a signal from the future.
Foundations
- Wheeler (1978) — delayed-choice: measurement in the present determines the past.
- Cramer (1986) — transactional interpretation: quantum events as handshakes between emitter and receiver across time.
- Thorne — general relativity admits time-crossing solutions without formal paradox.
- Novikov — those solutions must be self-consistent: every loop must close.
Departure
Our hypothesis departs from Novikov’s. We do not describe a loop. We describe a one-way receiver and a spiral: each reception enables new technology, each generation sends back what it inherited plus what it built. Nothing closes. Everything expands.
What this is not
None of this proves reception is possible. All of it shows the hypothesis is not beyond serious physics.
What’s missing isn’t theory — it’s a receiver, and a culture prepared to wait.
