The Experiment

Chrono Gate is the world’s first open infrastructure for receiving signals from the future. Each platform is a 3D-printed receiving station with a unique ID, registered coordinates, and a permanent timestamp. We are building the network that the future can find.

Yes. The premise is simple: if reception across time ever becomes possible, the future needs a destination it can find. A registered receiver in the present. We are building that infrastructure. Whether you see it as science, philosophy, or a gesture — your platform is real, registered, and waiting.

Then the registry will still hold the record: claimed coordinates, platforms that kept watch, years of readiness — measured and timestamped. We do not know if anything will arrive. That is why we build. A signal without a receiver leaves no trace; a receiver without a signal is still infrastructure.

We do not predict the form of an arrival — we engineer its detection. The load cell watches the reception surface continuously; every reading is timestamped and reported over encrypted HTTPS. If mass appears on a registered platform, the event enters the record: measured, dated, tied to your coordinates.

The Platform

A 3D-printed receiving platform in your chosen colour, with a unique identifier (e.g. CG-1), an integrated Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with WiFi, an e-ink display, a precision load cell sensor, and a rechargeable battery. It connects to the Chrono Gate network and reports its status.

The price is not announced yet — it will be published here before the first platform ships. One size, full reception hardware: Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, e-ink display, precision load cell, rechargeable battery, WiFi, registered coordinates, permanent timestamp.

Your platform connects via WiFi. On first power-up, it creates a temporary WiFi hotspot for setup. You enter your WiFi credentials through a captive portal on your phone. After that, it connects automatically and starts reporting to the network.

Ordering & Shipping

Each platform is 3D-printed to order. Production takes 5–7 business days. Shipping within the EU takes 3–5 business days. You will receive tracking information by email once shipped.

Yes. Under Belgian and EU consumer law, you have 14 calendar days from delivery to return your platform without giving a reason. Products must be in original condition. Use the Refund Request page in your account to start the process.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and other cards via Stripe, as well as Revolut Pay. All payments are processed securely. Prices include 21% Belgian VAT.

Technical

On battery the platform wakes hourly, stays reachable for a five-minute window, then sleeps again — a full charge lasts roughly 3–4 days in this rhythm (longer overnight, when wakes stretch to six hours). The receiver is designed to live on USB-C power, where it listens continuously; the battery exists so the coordinate can stand anywhere.

The platform reports: online status, battery level, WiFi signal strength, CPU temperature, and load cell sensor readings. No personal data is collected from your home network. All communication is encrypted via HTTPS.

The registry is built to outlast the hardware. Every record — identifier, coordinates, timestamps — is stored in open formats and backed up hourly to independent locations. We make exactly one promise: not that something will arrive, but that the point of reception you registered stays registered.

Yes. The network exposes a public HTTP API — platform status, network health, statistics — and the frontend code is readable by design: what the network does, you can verify. Documentation lives on the Developers page.

The first production run is 50 platforms — serials 001–050, registered permanently. They are tester units: early hardware standing in real homes, sending real feedback into the build, with firmware updates arriving over the air. Every platform is printed, assembled and tested to order, and ships in order of purchase. Full price through the normal checkout — no deposits, no timers, no artificial scarcity.
