This page explains which cookies Chrono Gate uses and why. We follow a privacy-first approach: we do not track you, do not sell your data, and do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Only cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function are set on your device.
- We set only one first-party cookie (the authentication session).
- No tracking, no advertising, no cross-site profiling, no third-party analytics cookies.
- Third-party cookies appear only on specific pages: reCAPTCHA on /contact, and Stripe/Revolut on the payment step.
- You can disable cookies in your browser at any time — but logging in will then not work.
These cookies are required for authentication and security. They are exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. They contain no personal data directly — only an opaque random identifier tied server-side to your session.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Attributes |
|---|---|---|---|
session | Holds a random session identifier linking your browser to your logged-in account. | 24 hours | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, Path=/ |
Some third parties set their own cookies only when you visit specific pages. Their policies apply, not ours.
/contact)Spam protection on the contact form. Google may set its own cookies for bot detection. See Google Privacy Policy.
To be explicit, Chrono Gate does not use any of the following:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Third-party analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.). Our pageview counter is server-side, anonymous, cookie-less.
- Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting cookies.
- Social media share or embed cookies.
You can view, delete, and block cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also support a «Do Not Track» signal, which we respect by default (since we do not track anyway).
- Chrome / Edge / Brave: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Note: if you block the session cookie, login, cart, and checkout will stop working. This is a technical limitation of web authentication, not a choice.
If we add or change cookies in the future, we will update this page and the «Last updated» date above. Material changes will be announced in the cookie banner.
Use the toggles below to record your consent under the current policy. Essential cookies cannot be opted out (the site will not function without them) per ePrivacy Article 5(3); the other categories are reserved for future opt-in features and are currently not set on your device.
Please log in to save your cookie preferences. The page below shows the current policy; the consent ledger is anchored to your account once you sign in.
